Why do you want to study this course or subject?

At the beginning of my studies in high school, I did not like the economy because it did not really interest me. But once I got interested, it became exciting. I realized that economics studies the behavior of individuals in a society through time and across a range of life activities every day. It was especially during my final year in high school that I became very interested in economics and concerned with economic issues, problems related to business organization, management, and strategy. The branches of the economy are many and varied and regardless of the area in which we operate, the Economy can be a very powerful and important tool to achieve the resolution of the ills which society faces.

Having had my High school graduation (Baccalaureate) since July 2014 and currently preparing a TOEFL / IELTS at the American University of Sharjah based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates by learning English, I wish to get the quality of education of a UK university. Given that I was born in Benin and that all my high school was in French, I chose to come to the United Kingdom because I think higher education studied in the UK offers a great opportunity to improve my knowledge of the English language because speaking English fluently is a vital skill to have nowadays. The training offered by the UK Universities can give me a solid background to work in the area of Business economics.

I am very excited to work in an academic and business environment in the UK. Learning English in the American University of Sharjah is already training me and showing me how to work in groups for oral presentations, reports or how to behave in a university. It will be an opportunity for me by joining a university in the UK to expand my field of culture.

What else have you done to prepare outside of education, and why are these experiences useful?

I am a dynamic and funny person, always ready to do something new. I like discovering things and places. I am not especially sporty but I am active and I like to do sport to be in good health. I have a lot of imagination and creativity that helps me to work in an organization committee for cultural days in my school that was a success. Serious and motivated, I think I have the necessary qualities for a business school to succeed in my training and I will give the best of myself to complete my courses at university and build my career.

After my graduation, I also wish to attend a Master of Business Administration course and then to work in the area of business economics. I am aware of the challenge that awaits me and I will prove I can take it up if you accept me in your university.

AI generated feedback

This feedback is AI-generated, based on the text of this personal statement:

This personal statement clearly expresses a growing passion for economics and gives insight into the applicant's motivation to study business economics in the UK. The inclusion of language preparation at the American University of Sharjah is a strong point showing readiness for an English-speaking academic environment. The statement could be improved by providing more specific examples of academic achievements or projects related to economics and business, which would strengthen the section about preparation through studies. Additionally, clarifying and expanding on future ambitions and how the course will be directly useful to these goals would add depth. Attention to some minor grammar and phrasing issues would enhance clarity and professionalism while maintaining the student's authentic voice.

How personal statements have changed?
