What this course is about

UCAS code: N31F

Here's what Bangor University says about its Business Data Analytics (with Foundation Year) course.

This four-year course with an integrated foundation year leads to the same qualification as our three-year honours degree. It has been specifically designed for those wanting to undertake degree-level study but who may not meet the entry requirements or have traditional qualifications.

The Foundation Year (Year 0) offers you the chance to expand and strengthen your confidence, skills and knowledge – ensuring that you are well-prepared and qualified to progress into Year 1 of the BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics programme.

Our Business Data Analytics degree aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to analyse datasets in a variety of business contexts, learning the valuable techniques data analysts use to analyse data and extract insights. The degree prepares you to become a strategic manager of data.

During the foundation year, you’ll develop essential academic and IT skills, such as writing, communication, presentation and how to use digital resources to support your studies and research assignments. You will get a taste of studying within a multidisciplinary School, working with foundation students from a range of other subjects, including accounting, economics, management and marketing.

‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time. You can find more information about these options on our website and if you have any questions, please get in touch.
