Prif nod cwrs TAR Cerddoriaeth yw dirnad sut i ddysgu a chael profiad trwy Gerddoriaeth. Yn un o bynciau Y Celfyddydau Mynegiannol yn y Cwricwlwm i Gymru newydd, mae cyfle ymarferol a rhyngweithiol, drwy Gerddoriaeth, i archwilio, ymateb, ac i greu. Yn y darlithoedd bydd cyfle i astudio, trafod, a datblygu dealltwriaeth o sut i greu gweithgareddau deniadol, diddorol sy’n cyfuno Perfformio, Cyfansoddi a Gwerthuso. Drwy ddulliau ymarferol, bydd y cwrs yn ffocysu ar bedagogeg gerddorol a strategaethau addysgu effeithiol a fydd yn arwain at ddatblygu chwilfrydedd, creadigrwydd, meddwl beirniadol, hunan werth, hunan hyder a gwydnwch. Dyma gwrs a galwedigaeth sy’n caniatáu ichi fwynhau eich pwnc ac i ysbrydoli cerddorion y dyfodol, beth bynnag eu profiad a’u diddordeb cerddorol.
