Here's what Burnley College says about its Music Production course.
The HND in Music follows on from our HNC course.
Artist Development (performance) is a one-year course, which runs side-by-side with our Music Production course to allow for collaboration between students and projects.
The Artist Development pathway is designed for performers and instrumentalists to further develop and refine their performance and music creation skills. The performance skills will be focused on instrumental performance, looking at the link between the instrument and the biomechanics of performance. Learners will also apply instrumental techniques in performance scenarios, making sure that what they can do in the comfort of their home can be applied, and sound great when performing.
Learners will develop their composition skills by exploring concepts in music theory and styles, and producing authentic, creative compositions that make use of these concepts.
This course allows learners to apply their skills in a range of industry-focused scenarios and projects, which are designed to illustrate the range in which their skills can be applied, and also generate a collection of quality work that can be used in professional portfolios.
They will also develop their artistic and professional identity, and learn new ways to apply their craft to the many opportunities presented in the music industry and beyond.

Are you thinking of applying to this university?
Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.
Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.
