The BA Aviation Management degree is a dedicated aviation qualification, delivered in conjunction with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide and Cardiff Airport, which seeks to offer a uniquely innovative and exciting programme of study. The target audience are students eager to find critical perspectives on, and management careers in, the Aviation sector. Students will gain an understanding of all aspects of aviation law, aviation strategic management, aerospace safety, airline management and employment issues relating to aviation.

The programme will be initially available in full-time mode of study only. The full-time programme is dedicated to ensuring that students receive world class training and education in the latest Aviation Management theories and systems to ensure meaningful employment in the industry post-graduation. The unique, hybrid delivery model of the programme will be a particularly attractive option for students with a keen interest in the industry, as well as people already working within the industry to gain an internationally recognised qualification and to enhance their skills and understanding of the industry as a whole.

The BA (Hons) Aviation Management aims to:
•Equip the aviation sector with innovative and highly skilled aviation management specialists who have the appropriate combination of academic knowledge and practical skills to meet the Industry's current and future needs.
•Develop highly skilled graduates capable of adding significant value to companies in the aviation sector.
•Develop discipline specific and generic leadership skills that will ensure that our graduates obtain long term and meaningful employment within the sector.

We offer this programme with two study options. You can choose three years full-time or four years full-time which would include a one-year professional placement between years two and three that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This sandwich year would give you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.

Post-six month graduation stats:

This is from the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, based on responses from graduates who studied the same subject area here.

It offers a snapshot of what grads went on to do six months later, what they were earning on average, and whether they felt their degree helped them obtain a 'graduate role'. We calculate a mean rating to indicate if this is high, medium or low compared to other universities.

The Longitudinal Educational Outcomes dataset combines HRMC earnings data with student records from the Higher Education Statistics Agency.

While there are lots of factors at play when it comes to your future earnings, use this as a rough timeline of what graduates in this subject area were earning on average one, three and five years later. Can you see a steady increase in salary, or did grads need some experience under their belt before seeing a nice bump up in their pay packet?
