Here's what Cardiff University says about its Cymraeg ac Athroniaeth course.

Ar ein rhaglen Cymraeg ac Athroniaeth (BA), byddwch yn datblygu dealltwriaeth drylwyr o'r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a'i diwylliant, ac yn ymgysylltu â chwestiynau athronyddol allweddol ar draws ystod eang o bynciau a thraddodiadau. Byddwch yn ennill lefel uchel o sgiliau mewn Cymraeg ysgrifenedig a llafar, sgiliau allweddol mewn cydweithredu a meddwl yn feirniadol, a sgiliau cyflogadwyedd a chreadigol datblygedig sy'n berthnasol i'r Gymru fodern. Byddwn yn eich cefnogi i ymwneud yn feirniadol ac yn greadigol â phroblemau anodd mewn ffordd feddwl-agored a chydweithredol, gan gynnwys ar bynciau sensitif a dadleuol.

Rydym yn croesawu’r rhai sydd wedi astudio’r Gymraeg naill ai fel iaith gyntaf neu ail iaith. Os yw'r Gymraeg yn ail iaith i chi, byddwch yn cael modiwlau penodol yn y flwyddyn gyntaf a'r ail flwyddyn i ymarfer a gwella eich sgiliau cyfathrebu ac iaith. Ar ôl hyn, mae myfyrwyr iaith gyntaf ac ail iaith yn dod at ei gilydd am y rhan fwyaf o'r ail flwyddyn, a phob modiwl blwyddyn olaf. Mae opsiynau modiwl yn eich galluogi i archwilio pynciau megis ysgrifennu Cymraeg hanesyddol a chyfoes, polisi iaith, a chyfieithu proffesiynol.

Mewn Athroniaeth, byddwch yn datblygu sylfaen gadarn mewn athroniaeth foesol, byddwch hefyd yn astudio epistemoleg, athroniaeth meddwl, ac athroniaeth wleidyddol, ac yn cael cyfle i astudio meysydd fel estheteg, athroniaeth ffeministaidd, a ffenomenoleg. Ym mlwyddyn olaf y rhaglen, gallwch arbenigo yn eich dewis faes astudio.

Mae llawer o'n modiwlau yn archwilio'n uniongyrchol wahanol ddefnyddiau iaith. Byddwch yn dod i werthfawrogiad dyfnach o oblygiadau meddwl athronyddol, gan roi cyswllt clir rhwng damcaniaethau a'u cymhwysiad i chi. Pwysleisir hyn ym mlwyddyn olaf y rhaglen, lle byddwch yn cymryd rhan mewn modiwl craidd i gymhwyso ymchwil athronyddol i ddatblygu polisïau neu strategaethau sydd â'r nod o ddatrys problem foesegol neu gymdeithasol yn y byd go iawn.

Yn ystod y radd, cewch gyfle i ymgymryd â lleoliad gwaith mewn gweithle lle defnyddir y Gymraeg yn ddyddiol, i fagu eich hyder a'ch sgiliau proffesiynol. Byddwch hefyd yn ymgymryd â thraethawd hir, lle byddwch yn dylunio ac yn cynnal prosiect ymchwil ar bwnc o'ch dewis yn ymwneud â'r Gymraeg, ei diwylliant neu ei llenyddiaeth.

Byddwch yn graddio gydag ystod o sgiliau proffesiynol, gan gynnwys cydweithredu, cyfathrebu, a meddwl yn feirniadol. Byddwch yn ymwybodol o'r heriau moesegol, cymdeithasol ac ieithyddol sy'n wynebu cymdeithas a diwydiant cyfoes, a bydd gennych y syniadau a'r hyder sydd eu hangen i'w datrys. Mae’r gallu i ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg ar lefel broffesiynol yn hynod ddeniadol i gyflogwyr hefyd, gan olygu bod gennych gyfle unigryw i ddilyn gyrfa ddiddorol ac amrywiol lle gallwch ddylanwadu ar ddyfodol ieithyddol, diwylliannol, dinesig ac economaidd Cymru.

Nodweddion Unigryw’r Rhaglen Dilyn eich diddordebau: Dewiswch o fodiwlau ar draws ystod o feysydd mewn llenyddiaeth ac iaith Gymraeg ac amrywiaeth o ddadleuon athronyddol hanesyddol a newydd.
