Do you have a Level 5 qualification in Education or Early Years Childcare and wish to gain a full degree? This BA Hons (Top Up) course leads on from the knowledge gained in the Foundation Degree in Early Years and challenges you to focus on other elements that will challenge and enhance your professionalism within the sector.

You will study 5 modules at Level 6:

**Leading and Managing Professional Practice**
The Leadership & Management modules will draw on your own experiences - offering an action plan for change as part of your reflections. The 4000 word portfolio assessment will consider the historical and political values of the subject and how this impacts on the Early Years Sector.

**Learning, Teaching and Caring in Adventurous Education.**
In Adventurous Education you will spend time out of the classroom, exploring other learning enviroments such as the beach, forest and parks. You will be challenged to think 'Outside of the Box' in order to enhance your own practice.

**Special Educational Needs and Disabilities**
The subject of Special, Educational, Needs & Disabilities(SEND) is taught by a SEND professional who will lead you through the many challenges and implications of ensuring the needs of all children and young people are met in their learning environment.

**Children’s Literature and the Media**
The Children’s literature and the media module explores the genres through which children can learn in society today and questions the validity of them! You will also look back at how the evolution of the media by which children can learn has changed.

**Independent Project : Double Module**
Throughout the course duration you will be required to research a topic of your choice that links to your professional practice and submit a dissertation of 8000 words as your final piece of work.

This is from the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, based on responses from graduates who studied the same subject area here.

It offers a snapshot of what grads went on to do six months later, what they were earning on average, and whether they felt their degree helped them obtain a 'graduate role'. We calculate a mean rating to indicate if this is high, medium or low compared to other universities.

While there are lots of factors at play when it comes to your future earnings, use this as a rough timeline of what graduates in this subject area were earning on average one, three and five years later. Can you see a steady increase in salary, or did grads need some experience under their belt before seeing a nice bump up in their pay packet?
