ABOUT THIS COURSE: Our Degree in Business Management is studied over three-years and has a strong work-related emphasis. You will be given a practical and vocational perspective of business as you develop a broad understanding of business and management theory, which will give you a solid base to continue onto further study or move into the world of work. You may also be able to study this course part-time, which means you could study while working in a business or management role. Our expert tutors will help you expand your commercial awareness and business acumen, giving you an insight into essential business functions such as management, human resources, marketing, and finance. You will also study international business and the globalised marketplace, helping you to understand the different cultural landscapes, use your problem-solving approaches to critically analyse the development and implementation of business tactics and strategies, with particular consideration to the constantly changing business environment. You will learn about a range of strategic concepts, tools and theories, and also improve your written and oral communication skills during report writing and presentations. Working industry case studies and examples will give you a real insight into the business world and will prepare you for a career in the business world.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?: During the first year you will to fine-tune your innovative approaches to business management operational systems giving you a broad understanding of the business world. You will be able to explore traditional and modern methods of communication and learn how to manage an organisation. In the second year you will delve deeper into key business areas, such as organisational behaviour and digital marketing, alongside developing your own business plan as well as investigating the entrepreneurial mindset. In the final year you will conduct your own research project, widen your knowledge of global markets, leading change and operational systems and understand business strategies for creating and maintaining competitive advantage.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 64 UCAS points from a BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma / A Levels / Foundation Diploma / Access Diploma in a related subject; if English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6 with a 6 in writing; proof of qualifications; a satisfactory reference.

WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I ACHIEVE? On completion of three years of study (up to six years if part-time) you will be awarded a BA ( Hons) Degree in Business Management ( Level 6) validated by the University of East Anglia (within top 30 Universities in the UK).

Should your circumstances change during the course there is the ability to also award either a Higher Education Certificate in Business Management ( Level 4) or Diploma in Business Management (Level 5)

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER COMPLETING THIS COURSE? Once you have graduated, you will have a diverse range of transferable skills that will enable you to either, start your own business, commence a career, or further it with promotion, in this exciting industry. You may choose to specialise in a particular business function or role, or you could choose to enter into further study on MA programmes or complete a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.

Year 2 ( Year 3 & 4 if Part-time) Developing an Effective Business Plan, Organisational Behaviour, Digital Marketing and Social Media, Entrepreneurship, Project Management.

Year 3 ( Year 5 & 6 if Part-time) Strategic Management, Managing Operations, Leading and Managing Organisational Change, Globalisation and The International Business Environment, Research Project (Dissertation).

Our Aims: To promote an environment in which students can develop professional attitudes and skills, self-awareness, and understanding alongside skills that can be applied in the real world.
