The prominence of psychology across everyday life and the sport and exercise arena has never been more important. Apply the science of the mind and behaviour to understand how we think, feel and act.

Psychology touches every aspect of our lives. This exciting subject area, will enable students to gain a thorough understanding of human behaviour and performance. Develop valuable analytical and communication skills, and enhance your ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

You'll study all the core areas of psychology required for British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation, including biological, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology, while also exploring how psychology can be applied in Hartpury’s specialist areas including sport, exercise, agriculture, health, education, and inclusive of innovative approaches such as animal-assisted and green therapy.

Teaching is delivered by expert academics and practitioners, including those registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and enriched by guest lectures from leaders in specialist fields. From the very start, you’ll be supported to develop the practical skills, critical thinking, and research capabilities you’ll need for a wide range of careers in psychology and related sectors.
