Leeds City College have developed a Foundation Degree in Fashion Theatrical and Media Make Up in response to sector developments and demand to meet the needs of this exciting competitive creative industry.

This course places priority upon the need with which to encompass the wide vocational, academic and professional skill sets and personal attributes that are required by employers, agencies and freelance artists, as well as to provide substansive opportunity with which to provide students with the opportunity to develop their personal professional and creative portfolios in order to enable students to promote and showcase their creative skills at industry focused events. The Programme has a strong commercial flavour providing a balance of academic understanding and practice.

The programme uses a variety of teaching and learning methods to develop an understanding for the theoretical concepts found within the Fashion, Media and Theatrical Make Up industry environments, thus combined with experience and practice of methods and techniques applicable to current commercial practice and aiding students reflective skills in regards to their own theoretical and application of skill.
