Explore the world of education and discover which aspects fire your passion. Through directed experiential learning, you will see first hand how theory links into practice.

Whether it is in a school, or wider afield in museums, prisons, or special needs schools, you will gain a wide understanding of educational systems and practices in the UK. Should you wish to go further, study abroad options will be available to you, and you will receive support from the teaching staff to undertake your development.

You will question key educational issues including the social influences surrounding how children learn and the potential barriers to learning. You will study a number of topics independently and develop high-level research skills. These skills will prepare you for the major independent study in your final year, which will cover an education subject of your choosing.

You will also gain an overview of current issues in education systems around the world and how they relate to the UK.You will benefit from the dedicated support and advice of your teaching team, who will help you tailor the course to your professional ambitions.

**PLACEMENTS**

You will undertake a placement in each year of the course to reinforce the theory you learn in class and give you invaluable practical experience.
