Leeds Trinity University

Leeds | Yorkshire and The Humber

City Campus

Ucas code: L24

A small university with a big reputation, Leeds Trinity University is one of the UK’s top 15 universities for teaching quality and student experience (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019). Leeds Trinity is known as the University where students really are a name, not a number, thanks to its approach to personal student support. Throughout all points of your journey, the University takes the time to really get to know you, support you, and celebrate your achievements. One of the only universities in the UK to build professional work placements in every degree, Leeds Trinity ensures you graduate with at least three months’ degree-relevant experience, industry contacts and employer references without having to take a year out. As a result, an impressive 95% of its graduates are in work or further study six months after graduation (Destinations of Leavers Survey 2017).

      Course

The course is structured well with all lectures linking. The course covers many areas in psychology sadly I specialised with educational psychology and the course isn’t specific. I was disappointed in this! The teaching quality is standard. The feedback and assessments vary on the module some modules give lots of help while others don’t. The feedback also can be very vague!

      Accomodation

I choose to live in this accommodation as it is the cheapest one on the university campus at £93 a week. However I am majorly disappointed the rooms are awful and the facilities are even worse the showers are so old you have to press a button every 14seconds for the water which takes about 10minutes to heat up! The showers also aren’t on my floor so I have to go past the main entrance to get to the shower and the room then isn’t big enough to get dressed in. We have cleaners within the building so we don’t have assess to hoovers meaning we have to wait for the cleaners to come round. Since moving in in September my room has been cleaned three times it is now nearly April!! The water isn’t his building is also suspicious and it hasn’t been clarified if it even drinking water so on top of rent I am buying bottled water - another expense! My expectations of uni halls is the same to what it is now.
