This course aims to produce graduates who possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of work with children, young people and their communities. The course incorporates competencies for practice at RQF Level 4 and 5, and key transferable skills and attributes required for graduate employability and life-long learning.

The core educational aim of the programme is the formation of practitioner skills and knowledge to enable graduates to work with children and young people. Successful students may choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Youth, Childhood and Community Studies, a one year top-up programme also delivered at the College, to gain a full honours degree award.

• Understanding Approaches to Learning
• Working Practice for Youth and Community Settings

• Participation and Inclusion for Individuals with Additional Needs
• Practice based approaches to Integrated Working

Assessment methods
