Open Day

Are you thinking of applying to this university?

Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.

Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.

I am satisfied with my course, however, I think it does have some subjects which could be improved on. My translation theory and interpreting theory lectures feel like they are sort of a filler subject, I personally haven't found them too useful so far, not because of the lecturers, I think they are...

Excellent clinical teaching and experience that prepares you early on for clinical years and years after graduation as a doctor. Anatomy teaching is one of a kind and very useful, with fantastic demonstrators. Most lecturers are helpful and approachable and are clearly experts in their fields.

Course load is difficult, a lot of work outside of lectures is needed. Lecturers could be better, quite a few just read off of the slides, altho a few are exceptionally good at explaining difficult concepts. My course is fantastic. The range of modules taken in first year and options in 2nd and 3rd really allow you to learn so much and then decide to specialise in areas that take your key interests. The lecturers are really engaging and seminars are good too.
