BA Drama with Acting at Royal Holloway gives you the chance to step onto the stage or in front of the camera and learn the craft of acting, alongside also gaining a solid foundation in the study of Drama in general.
You'll explore the art of performance through dedicated actor training, as well as analysing key texts, so that the text and the body, the thinking and the doing, work together as one. By moving between the practical and the theoretical, you'll find your place as an informed actor, and by studying a variety of practices, by yourself and with others, you'll get knowledge of the industry as a whole, and learn how your interests could fit into the bigger picture. You’ll also get the chance to work alongside our MA Theatre Directing students, collaborating with them on their projects to bring ideas to life, as well as developing your performing arts industry networks.
We are top-rated for teaching and research, with a campus community recognised for its creativity. Our staff cover a huge range of theatre and performance studies, but we're particularly strong in contemporary British theatre, international and intercultural performance, theatre history, dance and physical theatre, and contemporary performance practices.

Outside of class, you will be expected to rehearse, read creative and critical works, watch performances, and conduct research. You will be assessed in a range of methods including performances, essays, presentations, and other creative projects. You will also have access to a personal tutor to guide you through your degree.

Things a little expensive but there's always something on. Summer Ball ticketing is a bit of a joke. They offer a certain number of cheaper tickets early but you have to be lightning fast to secure the.ticket at th e cheaper price. Plenty of variety and bars eating and shops

There's always something on , Egham a bit run down but campus socialising is great. There's everything you need on campus ,although exploring further afield like Windsor and London is reasonable on the train.

This is my main negative with this university. I was in really nice halls Kingswood 1st year. Affordable nice location. 2nd year halls were not an option so had to find private. Expensive. The student finance maintenance loan.does not cover then full cost. Work opportunities are few at the univers...

As stated course content challenging and found that workload high but was able.to keep on top of assignments. Tutors helpful and approachable.
