The BA (Hons) Social Policy, Health and Housing (Top-up) will provide you with the opportunity to analyse developments in contemporary social policy with a particular focus on community and housing issues.

The degree aims to develop your awareness of the work of agencies at a local, national and international level, emphasising the importance of effective and cooperative approaches to improving welfare outcomes.
This degree makes clear the connections between social welfare, health and housing issues, with a specific focus on multi-agency and community approaches to social problems.

By choosing to study the BA (Hons) Social Policy, Health and Housing (Top-up), you will find yourself examining the concepts of citizenship and individual rights, equality and fairness. You will also look critically at poverty, gender, ethnic and health inequalities, the legal and criminal justice systems and issues faced by NHS users, carers, social housing providers and tenants in a rapidly changing world.

Additionally, you will have a chance to combine rigorous academic study with an extended, practical placement to further enhance your knowledge and employability.
