Open Day

Are you thinking of applying to this university?

Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.

Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.

I personally enjoy my course, but feel as if first year has been very broad. I understand all things need to be covered, but potentially there could be an evaluation of things everyone has learnt across Higher Scottish exams, A-level and international qualifications, to limit going over unnecessary ...

My university has a good reputation and I do feel really knowledgeable in my subject. However, I do feel that due to this fact they're not always the most caring to students.

The work is pretty intense and pretty independent meaning you don’t get a lot of help but it’s generally okay. They mark so harshly thoug...

For the first two years there were a good number of contact hours, with lots of weekly lectures and tutorials. The course selection is nice, with a little bit of freedom to customise your course in the first two years and almost entire control during the final two (although getting a place for some ...

I feel it is not clear what this course is hoping to achieve, and I am not clear what I can do with the qualifica...
