to include one from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or Construction. Applicants who are not offering any of the above subjects the entry requirements are GCE A Levels grades AAA
Pass Access Course with an overall mark of 70% for year 1 entry. Science/Science & Technology/Construction or Engineering subject. Other Access courses will be considered with an overall mark of 75% and 70% in Maths module.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
GCSE Profile to include grade C in English and C in Mathematics. Please note that for the purposes of entry to this course the Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills Application of Number is NOT regarded as an acceptable alternative to GCSE Maths.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
13 points at higher level to include Mathematics and one other subject at higher level. Grade 4 in English language is also required in the overall profile. Applicants who are not offering the above subjects the requirement is 29 points to include 14 at higher level. Mathematics and English Language at grade 4 are also required in the overall profile.
128 UCAS Tariff Points to include a minimum of 4 subjects at Higher Level and 1 subject at Ordinary Level. Higher Level subjects must include one grade H3 from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Physics/Chemistry, Biology, Construction or Engineering. The overall profile must also include English at minimum H6 Higher Level or O4 Ordinary Level. Applicants not offering the above subjects the requirement is 144 UCAS Tariff Points to include a minimum of 4 subjects at Higher Level grade H3 and 1 subject at Ordinary Level. This course will move to the Belfast campus. Students will change campus part way through this course.
Quantity Surveyors are construction professionals who manage and control the cost of major construction projects. You will be advising on the economic affordability of projects, typical development costs, procurement, tendering, contractual management, dispute avoidance and resolution, measurement and payment for completed works, ultimately striving to deliver projects within budget.
RICS accreditation provides you with global opportunities, which span key stakeholders throughout the construction supply chain, central and local government and as self-employed practitioners. Your transferrable skills will be equally sought after in other industries.
