Course summary

What this course is about

UCAS code: 4G45

Here's what University Centre Farnborough says about its Education (Learning Support) (Top-up) course.

This degree is suitable for students with a foundation degree or HND in a relevant subject who would like to gain a full honours degree.

The education sector increasingly requires staff who can appreciate the implications of the many far-reaching developments currently taking place.

The BA (Hons) in Education (Learning Support) meets this need for practitioners fulfilling a number of different roles within the sector. The main award of the BA (Hons) in Education builds on the appropriate supporting Foundation Degrees, providing a progression route to degree level.

As such, it develops and extends the knowledge base acquired through previous study and professional development and continues to integrate a work-based model in which students are required to reflect upon daily occurrences in the work place and use their experiences to inform and evaluate their own practice. The programme is offered as a full-time honours degree programme and is modular in structure focusing on a number of essential themes in contemporary education and training.
