Here's what University for the Creative Arts says about its Design for Theatre & Screen (with Integrated Foundation Year) course.

Our BA (Hons) Design for Theatre and Screen (with Integrated Foundation Year) is a four year degree programme, including a foundation year to help develop your creativity before you embark on year one of a degree.

Tell stories, build worlds, and create characters on our exciting BA (Hons) Design for Theatre & Screen degree course at UCA Farnham.

On this course, we nurture imaginative and divergent thinkers, offering you the time, conditions, and support to find your creative voice and develop the confidence to say what you want to design and create with authenticity.

You’ll engage with and respond to stories – researching and exploring your own ways of telling them and experimenting to find the visual worlds where those stories could thrive. And you’ll have the opportunity to create the costumes and props that exist in those worlds, too.

Our staff are practising theatre and film professionals, and with industry links to organisations like the Royal Opera House and National Theatre, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and experience to sustain your craft beyond university.

I believe the student union is quite active. I receive regular updates on what's going on with them via email.

There is little social engagement between students except on Discord app where it is quite lively. The students tend to be younger than me so I do not mix so well with them there.

The course is well structured and the tutors are responsive on the whole. If I have questions I can pose these via email and be confident of a response- either with a solution or links to find one. During the pandemic things were not quite so smooth, but things are largely back to how they were bef...
