Our BA (Hons) Film Production (with Integrated Foundation Year and Professional Practice Year) is a five year degree programme, including a foundation year to help develop your creativity before you embark on year one of a degree. Your fourth academic year would then include a year in industry placement.
With a 60-year legacy and a string of successful alumni to its name, our BA (Hons) Film Production degree course at UCA Farnham is known for moving with the times to stay at the forefront of industry practice.

Learning from a staff team that includes international filmmaking award winners, picture editors, sound post-production professionals, development producers, cinematographers, screenwriters, fiction and factual directors, and editors, you’ll explore all aspects of filmmaking to help you identify the career path that suits you best and find your own filmmaking voice.
You’ll also be able to build a wider portfolio of knowledge and experience through a series of exciting elective units that include animation, music, and acting.

I believe the student union is quite active. I receive regular updates on what's going on with them via email.

There is little social engagement between students except on Discord app where it is quite lively. The students tend to be younger than me so I do not mix so well with them there.

Support faltered during the pandemic as people worked from home. I haven't had much cause to contact OCA admin or student services recently so do not know wit has been much improved. I know things are not as bad as they had once been.

The course is well structured with a series of briefs to follow. These are open to interpretation and students are encouraged to do just that. Feedback on the whole has been prompt and informative. The tutors are knowledgeable about the subject matter and appear to care about student participation ...
