A level
Standard offer: A*AA or A*A*B, including B in Spanish. Where a candidate is not taking an A-level in Spanish, we may accept A*AA or A*A*B plus the following standalone language qualification in Spanish at CEFR level B1: DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera). Contextual offer: AAB including B in Spanish. Access to HE Diploma
Access to HE Diploma in Humanities, Social Sciences, Law or History (or similar titles). The 45 graded Level 3 credits must include at least 30 credits at Distinction and 15 at Merit or above. Proven capacity for language learning is also required, usually through a B in A-level Spanish. Mature students can contact [email protected] to check the suitability of their Access course.
Requirements for principal subjects are as for A-level, where D1/D2 is A*, D3 is A, M1/M2 is B, and M3 is C.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Standard offer: 38 points overall with 18 at Higher Level including 5 at Higher Level in Spanish. Contextual offer: 34 points overall with 17 at Higher Level including 5 at Higher Level in Spanish. Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
D*DD in any Applied General BTEC National Level 3 Extended Diploma AND B in a Spanish A-level (or equivalent).

Scottish Higher
Standard Higher: AAAAA including A in Spanish.
Requirements are as for A-levels, where you can substitute a non-subject specific grade for the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate at that grade.

Our top-ranking law degree will give you a solid foundation of legal knowledge and an opportunity for you to explore a wide range of legal topics. You will be taught by world-leading academics actively impacting policy and practice in the vibrant and diverse city of Bristol.
An understanding of more than one legal tradition, language and culture can open up a world of opportunity. On this four-year, joint honours course you will develop your language and cultural knowledge of Spain and Latin America to degree level alongside core units in civil and common law - the world's most prominent legal traditions. Choosing the LLB in Law and Spanish at Bristol will enable you to progress onto the Bar Practice Course or prepare, in part, for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), helping you to develop core legal skills and understanding of the seven foundations of legal knowledge.

Top job areas of graduates
It's often said there's a shortage of modern language graduates, and graduates from Spanish courses have a lot of options available to them when they complete their courses. In 2015, nearly 1300 UK graduates got degrees in Spanish and the subject is seeing its popularity increase. About one in five got jobs overseas — often as English teachers. If you want to put your degree to work in the UK, teacher training is a common option, and businesses see Spanish-speaking countries as important markets, leading to graduate opportunities in marketing, human resources, sales and project management. But remember — whilst employers say they rate graduates who have more than one language, you need to have them as part of a whole package of good skills.

Top job areas of graduates
Law graduates tend to go into the legal industry, and they usually take similar routes. Jobs are competitive — often very competitive - but starting salaries are good and high fliers can earn serious money - starting on over £24k in London on average. Be aware though - some careers, especially as barristers, can take a while to get into, and the industry is changing as the Internet, automation and economic change all have an effect, If you want to qualify to practise law, you need to take a professional qualification — many law graduates then go on to law school. If you want to go into work, then a lot of law graduates take trainee or paralegal roles and some do leave the law altogether, often for jobs in management, finance and the police force. A small proportion of law graduates also move into another field for further study. Management, accountancy and teaching are all popular for these career changers, so if you do take a law degree and decide it’s not for you, there are options.
