The focus of the course is on the underpinning of knowledge and education to enable newly appointed project managers, as well as more experienced project managers, to enhance their skills and to build on their experience to take this to graduate level. The top-up course assumes a basic level of PM knowledge and builds on this to develop an appreciation of the role of projects within organisations, how projects fit into a programme and portfolio structure and how projects need to be chosen and then managed to maximise the chances of success.
