Overview
In today’s service-driven economy, an organisation’s greatest asset is its people. Successfully managing employees, keeping them motivated, planning their training and career development, as well as recognising their achievements are all crucial to organisational success. That’s why a great Human Resources (HR) department can have such a powerful impact.
This degree in Business and Human Resource Management will equip you with in-depth knowledge of HR management within the broader framework of key management disciplines. Offered by Norwich Business School (NBS) within the Faculty of Social Sciences at UEA, this degree will prepare you for a variety of roles in business, including general management, consultancy, and human resources. At UEA, we focus on evidence-based management. You’ll learn to pose questions and challenge assumptions, as well as how to use evidence to make your own decisions and back them up.
The course is designed to allow you flexibility in your studies while providing a clear focus on people management. People are widely regarded as a key source of competitive advantage in business. Through this course, you’ll explore why that is and how individuals can drive organisational transformation. You’ll also develop the skills to manage people effectively and have the chance to work with others on your course. Managing a ‘live’ HR project is just one experience which will enhance your CV and give you a competitive edge with employers.
Norwich Business School is a friendly and supportive school with a lively and international cohort. We’re in a region that’s safe and welcoming, with a thriving business innovation and enterprise community. After graduation, you’ll be well equipped to enter a career within any human resources department. You’ll have the experience necessary to thrive in a large multinational corporation as well as the drive and enthusiasm to help small businesses and start-ups reach the next level. The interpersonal skills you’ll develop throughout your degree will also prepare you for any career you might choose to enter, whether business-related or not.

Things cost a lot here too, with the laundrette and shop being very overpriced making it hard to budget money easily. However, the camous looks quite nic...

Uni life is very fun. You get to spend time with your friends and they're always there so you don't get bored. Norwich is a very average city but again you get used to it and it's also very historic

Accommodation is definitely good and like a hotel. The library is open 24/7 and the campus kitchen has very good food. My room is amazing I opted for en suite room which is better than others. We share a kitchen which is ok as it can get dirty quickly. But other than that all is good
