Overview
At UEA, we believe everyone should have the chance to study at degree level. You might not yet have the required grades. You may need a little extra support. You may need time to decide where your interests lie. If so, then our BA Drama with a Foundation Year is the perfect choice.
Our Humanities Foundation Year is an intensive and exciting year of study. You’ll focus on the topics which interest you and create a toolkit of essential academic skills.
We’ll support you to work towards your own learning goals in an encouraging, rewarding environment. You'll study with dedicated lecturers from UEA’s Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities. In addition to Drama, you’ll explore a wide range of adjacent academic subjects, including English Literature, History, Philosophy, Film, Media, History of Art and Politics. We’ll help you make connections between different disciplines to spark your curiosity.
You’ll have access to many exciting opportunities and resources as you pursue your passion for drama. You’ll familiarise yourself with working in a professional drama studio, and you can also join our well-respected student-run Minotaur Theare Company, and enjoy Norwich’s vibrant arts scene, right on your doorstep. You’ll develop a toolkit of essential academic and practical drama-based skills. As you develop your own academic interests, you’ll then be well-placed to progress to the degree that’s best for you.
After successfully completing your foundation year, you can move onto the BA Drama degree, or request to transfer to another undergraduate course within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, subject to taking the required prerequisite modules. Use the foundation year to springboard onto the degree of your choice and take control of your future studies.

Overall id say that the inversity is okay, the course is good however the lectuerers arent the best and often times lectures feel quite pointless. Things cost a lot here too, with the laundrette and shop being very overpriced making it hard to budget money easily. However, the camous looks quite nic...

Uni life is very fun. You get to spend time with your friends and they're always there so you don't get bored. Norwich is a very average city but again you get used to it and it's also very historic

The student union are there all the time and are very supportive. They practically run the university and make it seem amazing. They run events almost every day and week and make the uni thrive.

Accommodation is definitely good and like a hotel. The library is open 24/7 and the campus kitchen has very good food. My room is amazing I opted for en suite room which is better than others. We share a kitchen which is ok as it can get dirty quickly. But other than that all is good
