**Why Journalism and Communications (Level 6)?**

Our Journalism and Communications (Level 6) course gives you the chance to convert your existing qualification, such as a foundation degree or HND, into a full BA honours degree and prepare for a successful media career. Our links with journalists, editors and content specialists will allow you to build your professional network and learn from experienced industry insiders. Recent guest lectures, workshops and festivals have featured visitors from major media players such as Google, ‘Marie Claire’, ‘Top Gear’ magazine, ‘Empire’, and Heart radio. Placement opportunities with organisations such as Sky News, ‘Hello!’ magazine, ‘The Guardian’ and ‘The Telegraph’ have also given our students the chance to gain valuable real-world experience.

On this highly practical course you’ll learn in state-of-the-art studios and teaching spaces, using cutting-edge technology to create engaging content for multiple digital platforms. You’ll benefit from the expertise of lecturers with extensive knowledge of the sector, having worked for national and international media organisations including the BBC, ITV, The Athletic, ‘The Sunday Times’ and magazine publisher Bauer Media. By graduation you’ll have gained an impressive array of skills, experiences and contacts, enabling you to flourish in the modern media industry.
