Why Marketing (Digital Innovation)?

Our Marketing (Digital Innovation) degree provides you with the technical skills and consumer insight to develop digital marketing campaigns that get noticed and have an impact. You’ll learn the latest in social media marketing to digital out-of-home and everything in between. You will draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive professional credentials and research experience and be inspired by industry guest speakers, including those who graduated from the university. The course is underpinned by a deep understanding of professional practice and academic concepts.

You’ll learn in the new state-of-the-art School of Business and Technology at our Oxstalls campus, giving you access to facilities including a consumer behaviour lab, to technology such as body scanners and to world-leading marketing simulation software, BrandPRO. This will help equip you with the knowledge and skills to utilise modern-day marketing practices including the innovative management of virtual online stores. As well as drawing on the expertise of experienced lecturers, you’ll benefit from placement opportunities and the chance to build entrepreneurial knowledge and practical employment skills, working on live projects and engaging with real businesses through The Growth Hub, also based at our Oxstalls campus.

I really like that the student union put on so many events, though this is mainly helped with clubs and societies. I do feel like I have been unlucky with the people I share with because I find it harder to socialise with the party people who go out drinking and such because I am not like that. I like that everything is close together though in case I have had ended late at uni and need to head to do a food shop...
