Our programme aims to cultivate reflective, engaged citizens who deeply understand the role of music in today’s world. You will become a passionate advocate for the arts, confidently interpreting diverse musical languages and styles.
Through rigorous research and interdisciplinary exploration, you will develop a critical awareness of music's historical, social and cultural significance, fostering innovation and creativity in the broad range of possible careers.
Tailor your degree All students get an introduction to the basic building blocks of music across styles, genres, cultures and traditions.
You'll then have the freedom to choose. You may want to specialise in musicology, performance, composition or technology. Alternatively, explore widely across our diverse mix of modules across broad themes including musicology, performance, composition, technology, and music education. You can build your degree to suit your interests.
