GCSE/National 4/National 5
GCSE Maths at C (or 4) and English Language or English Literature at C (or 4). GCSE Physics, IT, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry and Statistics at C (4), GCSE Combined Science at 4-4 or AS/A Level Maths at grade C are acceptable in lieu of GCSE Maths. GCSE History, Geography, Religious Studies, Drama, Sociology or Politics at C (4) or AS/A Level English Literature, English Language or English Literature and Language at grade C are acceptable in lieu of GCSE English Language or English Literature.

About this course
Combine two key areas of business – and prepare for a successful future career – with our BA Accounting and Management with Foundation degree.
This four-year programme includes a foundation year that leads directly into the three-year BA Accounting and Management course.
The foundation year will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed at university. You’ll develop core skills in academic study, writing and research.
After successful completion of your foundation year, you'll progress onto our three-year BA Accounting and Management degree.
This multidisciplinary degree equips you with the fundamental concepts of the accounting disciplines, together with in-depth understanding of business management. You'll examine a range of issues from this dual perspective, exploring the interrelationships between both professions with an international emphasis.
Your learning will be delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials, practical classes and workshops.

You don't have to be an accountant if you take this degree, but over half of graduates take a look at the rewards on offer for accountancy trainees and go into the job. Many others go into other parts of the finance industry as advisors or book-keepers, and some go into management or marketing. London is very popular for accountancy graduates going into their first job, but it's also quite common to work in Scotland, with Glasgow a perennial hotbed of Scottish accountancy recruitment. If you want to find a job in finance as an accountancy graduates, recruitment agencies were particularly important last year, so try to get in touch with one as soon as you can to improve your chances.
