A*,A,A
A*AA or AAAA including mathematics (minimum grade A) and either physics, electronics or further mathematics (minimum grade A) or A*A*B including mathematics (minimum grade A*) and either physics, electronics or further mathematics (minimum grade A*). If you are taking an EPQ in addition to 3 A levels, you will receive the following offer in addition to the standard A level offer: AAA including mathematics and either physics, electronics or further mathematics, plus grade A in the EPQ. We are committed to ensuring that all applicants with the potential to succeed, regardless of their background, are encouraged to apply to study with us. The additional information gained through contextual data allows us to recognise an applicant's potential to succeed in the context of their background and experience. Applicants who are highlighted in this way will be made an offer which is lower than the typical offer for that programme, as follows: AAA including mathematics and either physics, electronics or further mathematics. Alternatively, A*AB including grades A*A in mathematics and either physics, electronics or further mathematics. A pass in the science Practical is required where it is separately endorsed. Offers typically exclude General Studies and Critical Thinking. Applicants who have not studied the required subjects at A-level can apply for the Engineering/Physics/Mathematics Foundation Year.

Here's what University of Southampton says about its Electrical Engineering with Industrial Studies course.
Our MEng Electrical Engineering degree can also be taken with an additional year in industry. The year in industry is taken after Year 2 or Year 3 and is assessed by academics and industry experts. This can be a great way to give you a competitive edge among graduate recruiters by showing you can relate your academic skills and knowledge to contemporary industrial practice.
This highly technical five-year MEng Electrical Engineering degree with industrial studies builds on the BEng programme. You'll develop the cross-disciplinary skills needed to tackle diverse advanced engineering topics from bionanotechnology through to high voltage engineering. We will provide you with the analytical skills to design and develop the technology of tomorrow using our outstanding experimental facilities, including our high-voltage laboratory. Individual project work with one of our research groups will allow you to work at the frontier of knowledge.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Southampton has consistently ranked in the UK top 5 over recent years (Guardian University Guide, Complete University Guide and The Times and Sunday Times). You’ll study in facilities with an unrivalled reputation. We have recently invested £8m in our teaching labs. We also have a £100m state-of-the-art interdisciplinary clean room complex and high-voltage laboratory.
You’ll be prepared to work in a wide variety of areas and fields; we have strong relationships with employers, and our graduates are particularly in demand for their understanding of organisations and their practical abilities in the workplace. We have our own Careers Hub website, run an annual careers fair and have a dedicated startup incubator, Future Worlds, to support student enterprise.
Our MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering degrees are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and we are members of the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UK-ESF) and IET Power Academy.
