We normally consider applicants who offer at least 1 Advanced Higher. Applicants presenting with only Highers will be considered on a case by case basis. Where Highers are taken over two years it might be expected that higher grades are achieved, particularly in any specific subjects required. This innovative programme explores the interconnections of the two disciplines, such as the lyric, opera, musicals and film. The study of English literature complements the music element, which combines technical studies with historical and critical perspectives and includes modules on the music business.
Our English modules cover writing from around the world and its connection to politics, the arts, identity and more. In Music, you can study everything from Italian opera to global hip hop, while developing your own musical practice.
