A level
From a minimum of two A Levels or equivalent (e.g. 1 x AVCE double award) which must include Mathematics or Physics. Please note we do not accept AS/A Level General Studies.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
We also require three passes at GCSE grade C or above, which must include Mathematics and English Language, or an equivalent qualification, for example; a minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you have studied for a GCSE which has a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

About this course
Learn how to apply engineering management techniques to ensure timely completion of projects. Implement and manage the maintenance procedures required to make sure machinery is running reliably and productively. Develop transferable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as essential engineering skills.
This course will provide you with the necessary skills you will need to work effectively in a modern manufacturing engineering environment.

Top job areas of graduates
Graduates are in significant demand, so unemployment rates are well below the national graduate average and starting salaries are well above average. Much the most common industries for these graduates are now vehicle manufacture - there are not enough people with these degrees to go round and so the big employers tend to take the lion's share at the moment.
