Subject

Acting

Drama Studio London is a leading actor training conservatoire with graduates working in high profile theatre, film, tv and audio settings – drawing on the skillset they formed in training.

The BA in Professional Acting programme covers core acting skills across the three years of study through vocational and practical training. Students benefit from specialist classes, workshops and talks from expert tutors and guest speakers while gaining confidence from regular assessment and guidance from our outstanding resident team.

During the first two years, training in core skills provide a solid foundation from which to work. This fully prepares you for the demanding public and industry facing final year and gives you the confidence to walk into professional settings as a peer within the industry on graduation.

Areas of study include:
- Voice

- Movement

- Screen Acting

- Audio Work

- Character Study

- Stagecraft

- Approaches to Text

A part of the course will consist of written project work in journals, essays, blogs and recordings.

**Performance and Showcase**

In your final year there are public productions and opportunities to perform in front of the profession. You also perform a live showcase to an industry audience of agents, casting directors and other key industry work-givers. This serves as an invaluable introduction to the profession while enabling you to network with peers.

We will guide you through Spotlight and Equity membership and provide an industry career launch to present you to industry contacts to build your network. You will leave the 3 Year BA with professionally shot material to contribute towards your personal showreel.
