Here's what Wiltshire College and University Centre says about its Sustainable Business and Management course.
Delivered at our Business School in Lackham, this course is designed to develop your knowledge, skills, and understanding in sustainable business management. You’ll gain the expertise needed to drive high-performance and sustainable business practices, support corporate social responsibility (CSR) agendas, and champion social and environmental change.
The course provides a balanced approach, combining employability skills, professional behaviours, and academic knowledge essential for either direct employment or further academic study.
We work closely with local employers and offer real-world learning opportunities, including live projects, professional briefs, and guest speakers from organisations such as Wiltshire Police and the Local Skills Improvement Partnership.
You’ll gain a strong foundation in the principles of sustainability, the business environment, leadership and management, and corporate governance and ethics. The course blends theory with hands-on learning to ensure you graduate with practical, job-ready skills.
Teaching includes a range of methods—practical activities, real-life case studies, and interactive learning—designed to bring your studies to life. In Year 1, you’ll build a strong foundation in sustainability, leadership, business environments, and ethical governance. As you progress into Year 2, you’ll explore organisational behaviour, CSR, and change management, while developing your research and strategic planning skills.
Teaching methods include practical activities, real-life applications, and diverse learning approaches to enhance both theoretical and hands-on understanding.

Are you thinking of applying to this university?
Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.
Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.
