Year 1 (Level 4) Your first year lays the foundation in business and management, focusing on how organisations operate in dynamic environments. You’ll develop key skills in critical thinking, communication, and business analysis while exploring organisational behaviour and marketing principles.
Core Modules:

You will learn through a mix of interactive lectures, seminars, workshops, group discussions, and case studies, supported by Wrexham University’s Active Learning Framework (ALF). This combines face-to-face teaching with flexible online learning, including short, recorded lectures, digital resources, and one-to-one tutor support.
As you progress, teaching will increasingly focus on applying theory to real-world business challenges, including live consultancy projects and optional placements.
Assessment is designed to reflect real business tasks and develop your employability skills. Instead of relying heavily on exams, you will be assessed through a variety of coursework methods, including:
