The overall aim of this course is to provide a course of study that prepares you for a career in Sports Therapy or a starting point for higher study. During this course you will be required to perform a range of basic and advanced sports massage techniques competently and assess their benefit; carry out assessments of the major joints in the body; describe the musculoskeletal anatomy of tissues associated with sports injuries; demonstrate professional practice within practical situations; demonstrate the safe use of electrotherapy and evaluate the use of treatment strategies for common sports injuries

This course contains a variety of practical and theory based modules including; sports massage, patient assessment skills and treatment strategies and manual therapy techniques and exercise physiology.
