UCAS code: S21

Sheffield has all the excitement of a major city but the friendliness of a small town. The university and students' union work together to enhance the student experience; your employability is at the top of our agenda. We have lots of societies, sports clubs and volunteering opportunities, plus the largest number of students in Britain on courses with a year's paid work placement.

    • The academic and off-campus support is always available, I find my course to be engaging and the topics we cover very useful to the development of my degree. I sometimes find the films we watch lacking, however the student advisors always take into account our ideas on improvement and what we want more of in the course.

    • In terms of access to and quality of both academic support and welfare services, I would rate the support received as **5 stars**. The university's academic support services were readily available and highly effective, offering personalized assistance such as tutoring, study skills workshops, and academic advising. Additionally, welfare services provided comprehensive support for students' well-being, including counseling, health services, and accommodations for special needs. The dedicated staff demonstrated genuine care and professionalism, ensuring that students felt supported and empowered throughout their academic journey.
