64 UCAS points with a Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC or A Levels, in a related subject plus satisfactory references. GCSE Grade C in both English and Maths (or equivalent). Students who can demonstrate academic achievement to a suitable level via another qualification route will be given due consideration.
About this course
**About the Course:**
This flexible course has been designed in collaboration with employers, students and staff in the Tourism and Hospitality sector. It provides a robust programme to develop your skills and knowledge in the workplace and ultimately enhance the quality of the individual in preparation for a career in Tourism and Hospitality. This course provides students with an excellent progression into Higher Education and employment with a qualification that combines research, theoretical knowledge and work experience to offer a student a wide range of skills.
You will be given excellent support in pursuing aspirational careers, with many former students progressing into employment with highly-regarded organisations within the tourism and hospitality. You may also have the opportunity to attend various trips and visits throughout the duration of your course to add relevant experience to your qualification.

**Year 1**

- Fundamentals of Marketing
- Work-based Learning and Employability
- Customer Service in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector
- Event Management
Optional modules include:
- International Travel Affairs (Tourism) or Licensed Trade Management (Hospitality)
**Year 2**
- Managing Financial Resources
- Introduction to Business Research
- Leadership and Management
Optional modules include:
- Geography and Tourist Destinations (Tourism) or International Food Management (Hospitality)
- Airport and Airline Operations (Tourism) or Food Production and Service Management (Hospitality)
- Tourism Development (Tourism) or Enterprise for Hospitality (Hospitality)
**Progression:**
- Upon successful completion of this course you could go into employment as an events co-ordinator, travel advisor, cabin crew staff, customer services, front of house staff or hotel manager or supervisor.
- Further study and progress onto a tourism or hospitality-related degree subject.
**Entry Requirements:**
- A relevant Level 3 qualification
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent
- Satisfactory references
