If you want a host of highly transferable and sought-after skills relevant to the fashion industry, then our BA (Hons) Fashion Media & Promotion course, taught at UCA Rochester, could be the course for you.

You’ll cover everything from fashion styling, film and photography, design and curation, creative writing for digital and print platforms, and even marketing, giving you all the tools you need to excel in the industry.

You’ll work with leading fashion media and retail companies on live projects, have the chance to travel to international fashion capitals on study visits, undertake high profile work placements, study abroad and, finally, exhibit your work at our London Degree Show and Graduate Fashion Week.

Modules

In Year 1 you'll be introduced to the study of fashion brands by analysing their history as well as their present position, and also considering the prediction of their future developments. You'll undertake fashion shoots on location and within our photographic studio to produce images which communicate and interpret facets of identity. You'll develop your ability to write for academic, journalistic, promotional and creative outcomes, and create your own publication. In Year 2 you'll create a fashion film for an emerging designer or brand, and investigate a fashion brand's use of social media. You'll also have the chance to undertake a work placement or an international exchange. In Year 3 you'll select your pathway in the specialist areas of visual, written or promotional activities, undertaking live projects and creating an innovative promotional concept. You'll also write a dissertation or research project.
