About this course
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Manufacturing Operations allows students to achieve a qualification equivalent to the first year of a degree. Taught by industry specialists dedicated to ensuring you acquire the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the sector, the programme offers the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the various aspects of manufacturing and related professional standards. The duration of the course is one year full-time (two days per week).
**After the course**
On successful completion of the course you will gain a Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Manufacturing Operations.
Upon completion of this course, you could progress to further study or employment.

You will continue to develop your report writing skills and presentation skills throughout this programme - you will become adept to writing at Level 4.
Assessment methods
A typical week has around 10-12 hours of contact time in taught sessions, plus additional 1-1 support available by student request. As with all higher education programmes, students are required to take ownership of their learning and development and should expect to spend time studying and completing assessment tasks with independence outside of lectures.
