Entry requirements
A typical profile for a student who has recently been in education would consist of: GCSE English and Maths grades at C/4 or above, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications a BTEC Level 3 qualification in business or a similar field a GCE Advanced level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. Other vocationally related level 3 qualifications An Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution Mature students may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience (paid and/or unpaid) and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector. Applicants may be invited to an interview to discuss their qualifications and experience.
About this course
Interested in a career in Computing but not yet sure what you want to specialise in? Our Computing course, validated by Pearson, allows you the opportunity to explore the different aspects of Computing. You will cover key and important skills that will cover software development, network engineering and network security.
This is a HNC which is a 1-year course that is equivalent of the first year of a degree. At the end of this course you will be able to top-up to a HND course that we also offer. The HND will build upon the fundamental skills that we introduce in this course.
