St Andrews is a unique combination of ancient and modern, local and global. Founded in 1413, we are the third oldest university in the English-speaking world. The city is quite small; the University accounts for approximately half the population but it has a distinctly cosmopolitan air due to the presence of students and staff from over 140 countries.

Are you thinking of applying to this university?
Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.
Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.

Timetable is good, course is structured well usually, module content is interesting and a relatively clear progression of difficulty. Good teaching for the most part although some lectures can feel rushed.
