Open Day

Are you thinking of applying to this university?

Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.

Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.

Chinese department first year running the course - a bit disorganised but things are improving, good lectures less good language classes Art History - really good quality lectures and tutorials

Staff were mostly fantastic other than the odd one or two who weren’t on the same level as the others. Course content was often more focused on literature and history than language which was disappointing.

Timetable is good, course is structured well usually, module content is interesting and a relatively clear progression of difficulty. Good teaching for the most part although some lectures can feel rushed.
