Open Day

Are you thinking of applying to this university?

Before you do, it's a good idea to go to an open day. You can have a good look around campus, getting a better idea of what it's like to study there. You'll meet current students and staff and get the chance to ask them questions.

Universities will list upcoming open days on their websites. Most will also have virtual open days; these are a great alternative if you really can't get there in person. For tips on preparing for open days, check the advice section here on The Uni Guide.

2nd year student

My course is well thought out and I feel there is a good network of staff and students which I don’t feel I previously had. Modules range from lab work to sensory science and are altogether interesting and enjoyable. My only gripes are that I find it inconvenient having a 1 or 2 hour lecture/tutoria...

My tutors are approachable and are able to answer any questions that you have about the course.rnrnI like the fact that in comparison to other universities, my class sizes are quite small and Iu2019m not in a massive lecture theatre. Overall the quality of courses is very good. Lecturers and professors are helpful and approachable, and they always try their best to provide seminars and lectures to a high standard. One suggestion would be to include more statistics/analytics/financial modeling related modules in hospitality.

Due to the nature of nursing course - it has been a mixture of 50% theory and 50% work placement. I appreciate that during our first and second year we get to focus on our theories first. Once we’ve finished, we go to our work placements. For me, I find this less stressful as I get to focus on one a...
